If you’re reading this it’s most likely because you are looking for the best way to sell makeup online. In today’s digital age, it’s so easy to rely on what I call ‘posting and praying’. You spend some time to make a graphic or a reel, you post it with your shop link, and you pray the sales come in. This may work for huge influencers or people with a very niche following, but that most likely isn’t where you’re at right now with your personal brand. I have over 200,000 followers and I can assure you that method is not the best way to generate loyal buyers. You need to be speaking with your prospects and leads. It is the only way to discover their needs, overcome their objections, and guide them towards lasting solutions which equals ongoing purchases and sales for you.

And the only way to connect a solution to a problem is by getting your prospect to see the value of the solution as opposed to viewing it as another expense. Actively listening to understand their situation provides you with the necessary information to address their concerns. Most sales reps just rapid fire all the benefits. But benefits are irrelevant to someone if they don’t see it fixing their specific concern.

Let’s face it: if you are in sales, you will face objections left and right. They’re simply a part of the process. And we as sellers often have objections when the roles are reversed and we’re put in a purchasing position. It’s human nature to resist, especially when you don’t see the value of a product or solution and how it will solve your problems. Some of the most common objections are related to price, quality, or time. And at the end of the day, you’ll never be able to overcome these objections unless you’re directly communicating with your leads. And sometimes it’s the tiniest, easy answer to a question that gets a buyer over the hump.

Speaking directly with your clients allows you hear, understand, and overcome objections. Dropping links does not.

Or if it’s a recruit, it could be related to income or a need for a change. Speaking directly with your leads gives you, the expert, the chance to help them immediately by shining a bright light on the need to solve the problem at hand.

Do you know why companies spend so much on customer retention? Because the hardest thing to do in business is get new customers. Once they’ve bought once, the likelihood they buy again is significantly higher. Same goes for customers of influencers or network marketers. Building a relationship with your leads so they trust you and want to come back is the ultimate goal. I don’t just want to help women with their routine once. I want to serve them the rest of their lives. And when you start operating from that perspective, you’re entire approach will change for the better. And I promise it will lead to more sales. At the end of the day, your paycheck reflects the amount of problems you’re solving. The more problems you solve in your customer’s lives, the more money you’ll make. When you engage with your clients, your energy will rise and you will get better and better every single time you do it so long as you’re willing to get uncomfortable and take action. The more sales conversations you have, the better you’ll become at closing the deal and solving peoples’ needs. View each and every call as a chance to improve your skills even if it ends in a no sale. Over time you’ll notice a huge shift in your confidence of your ability to close sales and build your team.
